Meet Our Team

Vertical Design Studio, PA (previously known as Archiquadra, PA) is a full service architectural and interior design firm based in Miami, Florida. We are rapidly growing and have been proudly serving South Florida for the past decade. Meet our team below and view our designs in upscale restaurants, retail stores, single family homes, condominiums, medical offices/facilities and executive offices. A job is not complete to us until every detail is taken care of.

We pride ourselves in the diversity of our projects. Since 2009, we have proudly designed approximately 126,000SF of office/commercial projects, 135,000SF of restaurant projects, 130,000SF of residential projects and over 23,000SF of luxury retail in Bal Harbour, Brickell City Centre and Lincoln Road.

JORGE E. GONZALEZ

Jorge leads Vertical Design Studio as a licensed Architect in Florida and Georgia, a licensed Interior Designer in Florida, and an NCARB Certified professional dedicated to enduring, well-crafted design. He holds a Master of Architecture degree from Florida International University and brings over two decades of experience leading projects across South Florida and beyond. A creative thinker and practical problem solver, he approaches each project with a balance of vision and precision. Before founding Vertical Design Studio in 2009, he worked with notable firms such as RE Chisholm Architects and Bermello Ajamil & Partners. Under his leadership, the firm has delivered a wide range of high end restaurants, retail environments, and luxury residences recognized for their clarity of design, technical rigor, and attention to detail.

STEPHANIE GONZALEZ

Stephanie earned her Master of Architecture degree from Florida International University and has been an integral part of Vertical Design Studio since the beginning of her professional career. She approaches every project with creativity and discipline, combining strong conceptual thinking with a practical understanding of design execution. Her collaborative spirit and meticulous eye for detail allow her to translate ideas into spaces that are both inspiring and efficient, reflecting the firm’s commitment to quality and innovation.

ALEXANDER VASQUEZ

With more than twenty years of experience in architectural design and construction, much of it leading major public projects in Chile, Alex brings a deep technical foundation and a results driven mindset to the studio. His expertise spans all stages of project delivery, from design development to construction coordination, ensuring precision and buildability throughout. At Vertical Design Studio, he plays a key role in turning design intent into refined, executable solutions that elevate each project’s architectural integrity.

MARCELA WEILAND

Marcela brings structure and efficiency to the team. She graduated with a degree in Psychology from Florida International University and is a Florida Registered Paralegal. She is well rounded, having a diverse Operations Manager background with over 30 years of experience including in corporate retail (management), Dade County Public Schools (treasurer) and in the legal field (paralegal). She has demonstrated excellence her entire career and made immediate impact in office and managerial functions.

CAMILA YURI OZAKI

Camila brings to the team a great sense of design and procurement know how. With over 15 years of experience having worked as a designer and specifier in high end stores such as Luminaire, she provides the utmost level of service in facilitating interior purchases. From A to Z, she handles the research, logistics, delivery and white glove installation.
